fauxhawk
A full head of hair combed into the middle to fabricate the look of a mohawk.
A few years back I was desperate for a new hair do and I found and was saved by Mr R. This genius tamed my frantic curls and made me a cool 1930s hair do. He cut my hair this one time, then he moved away (divorced, I've heard) and I have been searching for his new place ever since.
Since that I've had more and less success (actually more ”less” than ”more”), in getting that fabulous hair do back. I've been to three different hair dressers and none of them got it.
Last week I met Ms L and her scissors. I told her that "the problem with my hair is my natural but highly elusive curls and the fact that no one dares to cut it short enough". She did have the guts and now I have a ”cute as button” hair do (says Ms B-M). It is very short in the neck and a little longer and curlier on the sides. It is perfect for...
… a fauxhawk. It turns up by default if I go to bed with wet hair and it makes my darling waking up laughing.
[Note to self:
- Did you see your new collegue's hair?
- It must be Mr R.
- Indeed...]
